Our History

हमारा इतिहास - The journey of devotion and service

2005 - The Beginning

Sri Sri Maha Laxmi Pooja Samiti was founded by a small group of devoted villagers who shared a common vision of preserving our cultural traditions while serving the community. What started as a humble gathering of 10-15 families has now grown into a vibrant organization that touches hundreds of lives.

2008 - First Grand Celebration

We organized our first major Maa Laxmi Pooja with Murti Sthapna, attracting over 200 devotees. This marked the beginning of our annual tradition of grand celebrations that bring the entire community together in prayer and devotion.

2012 - Community Bhandara Initiative

Introduced the Community Bhandara program, serving prasad to all devotees without discrimination. This initiative embodies our commitment to equality and the belief that everyone should be able to participate in spiritual celebrations regardless of their economic status.

2016 - Social Welfare Expansion

Expanded our activities to include regular charity drives, providing essential supplies to needy families, organizing winter blanket distributions, and supporting educational initiatives for underprivileged children in our community.

2020 - Digital Transformation

Adapted to the challenges of the pandemic by introducing virtual participation options for our events and establishing our online presence to reach a wider audience and facilitate digital donations for our charitable activities.

2024 - Present Day

Today, Sri Sri Maha Laxmi Pooja Samiti stands as a beacon of hope and devotion in our community, with over 500 regular participants in our events and a growing network of volunteers dedicated to serving Maa Laxmi and humanity.

Our Story

Sri Sri Maha Laxmi Pooja Samiti was founded with a sacred vision to bring the community together in devotion to Maa Laxmi, the goddess of wealth, prosperity, and fortune. What started as a small gathering of devoted villagers has grown into a vibrant organization that touches hundreds of lives every year.

Every year, we organize grand celebrations for Maa Laxmi Pooja with elaborate Murti Sthapna (idol installation), where the entire community comes together in prayer and devotion. Our Bhandara (community feast) serves prasad to all devotees without discrimination, embodying the spirit of equality and love.

Beyond spiritual activities, we are deeply committed to social welfare. We provide support to needy families, organize night-long Jagrans (devotional singing), and ensure that Maa Laxmi's blessings reach everyone in our village through our charitable initiatives.
